M1 Swimming Club website click hereHistory - The M1 Swimming Club was formally the Waverley Amateur Swimming Club. The club was re-named 'M1' in May 2002 after a restructuring of the club.
Committee - The club is managed by a committee consisting of parents of members and managers/coaches from the two training organisations.
Name - 'M1' is the road code-name of the South Eastern Freeway, which is a well known landmark in the inner south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Both affiliate groups are located within close proximity to the 'M1'.
District affiliation - The club is affiliated with District South Incorporated.
